I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 17 years of experience. I have successfully treated and helped people who have dealt with depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, a history of trauma and various other concerns. My approach is primarily cognitive behavioral. I help people understand the root of their thoughts and how their current "thought-reflex" has impacted their ability to improve and move forward. In addition, your relationship with your significant other and family may also be impacted by personal thought patterns which conflict with one another. By, re-mapping and developing new cognitive strategies one can lead a more successful existence and have healthier bonds. To accomplish this, I teach strategies of mindfulness, meditation, tapping (energy) and visualization. These tools can quickly increase relaxation as well. I have training in EMDR which can be effective in working with trauma related issues.
