The Silverlake Lounge is a historic music venue, comedy club, and neighborhood watering hole located at 2906 Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles, CA. Since 1938, it has been serving the community as a popular nightlife destination. The lounge has a rich history within the Indie Music Scene and the LGBT community. It has been a stage for drag and gay cabaret acts since the 1970s and has provided a safe space for non-identifying Latinx locals. In the early 2000s, it gained recognition as a central hub and incubator for emerging indie bands such as Rilo Kiley, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and The Silversun Pickups. As the longest-standing, independent, live music venue in Silverlake, it has become a part of local history. The Silverlake Lounge prides itself on its diversity and is a safe space for Creatives and the Queer BIPOC community.
