The Silverlake Lounge is a historic music venue, comedy club, and neighborhood watering hole located at 2906 Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles, CA. Since 1938, it has been serving the community as a popular nightlife destination. The lounge has a rich history within the Indie Music Scene and the LGBT community. It has been a stage for drag and gay cabaret acts since the 1970s and has provided a safe space for non-identifying Latinx locals. In the early 2000s, it gained recognition as a central hub and incubator for emerging indie bands such as Rilo Kiley, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and The Silversun Pickups. As the longest-standing, independent, live music venue in Silverlake, it has become a part of local history. The Silverlake Lounge prides itself on its diversity and is a safe space for Creatives and the Queer BIPOC community. The lounge offers great live performances, comedy shows, and drag performances, along with affordable drinks. It is also available for film and photo shoots. Follow them on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for updates and check their website for tickets and show calendar.
