Fredy Rios had always dreamed of having his own restaurant in Kansas City. After having completed his culinary training in the Mexican restaurant Viva, he finally took the chance, and opened his own restaurant.
Fredy bought a store on 2661 Independence Ave and remodeled the place in painstaking detail. What was important to him was to combine restaurant operations with a live music establishment. To be able to do this, the stage had to be perfectly integrated into the restaurant's design. Quickly, this stage became the true center of the restaurant, and many artists used it to entertain our guests.
The stage at our restaurant have become an institution in Kansas City. The music and its old sounds as well as the delicious food make for a very special experience at Sabor Centro Americano.
