The Children’s Nature Institute is an organization in Los Angeles that aims to educate children, families, and communities through interactive experiences with nature. With a mission to inspire respect, responsibility, and a connection to the natural environment, the institute has been providing environmental education for over 25 years. Their programs include the Nature Discovery Program, which consists of a visit from the WonderMobile, and the Conservation All Stars program. They also offer programs for schools, such as the Nature Discovery Program, and enrichment opportunities for families, including Tykes on Trails. The institute relies on the support of volunteers and docents to help facilitate their programs. Through partnerships with funding partners and the Magnolia Place Community Initiative, the Children’s Nature Institute is able to continue their important work.
